Recertification/Revalidation Requirements:
If you are required to revalidate or recertify your credentials, please read the following important information to assist you with fullfiling with the requirements.
If you have obtained your accreditation for translation and/or interpreting since January 2007 and 2018, you are part of the revalidation/recertification policy introduced by
NAATI LTD. This means that you will revalidate/recertify your qualification by attending professional development activities which will earn you 120 pd points over a three year period. Every three years you will revalidate/recertify your qualifications by adhering to such conditions. Your date of revalidation/recertification is clearly stated in your correspondence from NAATI LTD. Please read it and plan ahead your professional development activities.
Under the revalidation policy the following applies:
The 120 points are first of all made up of the 30 points for the Ethics and Professionalism Section 1, T & I Skills Development, Section 3, Complementary Skills Development, Section 4, Contribution to the Profession, Section 5 and Maintenance of Language, Section 2.
We can assist you with obtaining your 90 points for all sections with the exception of Section 2 which you will attend to yourself.
How it works:
- The Ethics and Professionalism Revalidation revalidation Category stipulates that you are to complete professional development training worth 30 points during a three year revalidation period. To obtain 30 points you will need to complete all three modules as each Module is worth 10 points. You can register for each module separately or if you register for all three modules at the same time you will benefit from a 5% discount when making your payment.
- The T & I Skills Development Revalidation Category stipulates that you complete professional development training worth 30 points. There are lots of training opportunites for you to achive this by attending any of the modules listed below such as the Memory Retention & Note Taking Skills Module of which there are 2, the Sight Translation Module or the Telephone Interpreting Techniques Module. The choice is yours! You will be entitled to a 5% discount should you register and pay for three modules at the same time.
- The Complementary Skills Development Revalidation Category does not specify a number of poins, however to fulfil this requirement you may wish to choose any of the courses/modules offered by Language Experts and obtain 30 points in the process towards this category.

A Certificate of Attendance is issued to each participant who completes the training and requests a Certificate for a small fee of $50.00 per Certificate payable in advance.
